How much will it cost?
How long will the tour take?
Costs vary according to the type of tour but start at $50/ hour with a minimum of three hours. A non-refundable deposit of 20% of the total tour cost is required at the time of the tour booking. Please call 773-575-3176 for accurate rate information. Payment can be made directly to me at the end of the tour. Credit cards are NOT accepted.
The tours usually run about two hours long but the length of time can be personalized to your needs. The starting and finishing time can be adjusted to perfectly fit your schedule and timetable.
Where do we meet our guide?
If you are staying in the loop, I can come to the lobby of your hotel or I will greet you at a prearranged spot.
How far will we be walking?
The tours are between a mile and a half to two miles in length and the pace is leisurely. I can stop as often as you need for rest, refreshments, or restrooms.
Can we stop for lunch or snacks?
You can definitely include a meal or snack as a tour option. Dining at an authentic Chicago eatery can actually enhance your experience.
Are there other modes of transportation besides walking?
You may hire a Limousine or van for your exclusive use. If your group is traveling by bus, I will gladly do step-aboard tours. If you have a private boat, I will be happy to step aboard and give a lakefront or river tour. For a truly authentic experience, the tour can be done on the Chicago Public Transport System (the El subway system or bus). Also, the bike or Segway tour is very pleasant during the warm season. You may rent a bicycle or Segway at the Millenium Park Station. Please call 773-575-3176 for help and arrangements.
What is the maximum amount in a group?
There is no maximum unless you are traveling by limousine which would be eight.
Can we bring children?
Children are always welcome and Tours-R-Us tours provide a wonderful educational experience. However, they must be supervised by an accompanying adult.
Do you accommodate for the physically impaired?
I can customize an accessible itinerary to accommodate disabilities.
What should I wear or bring?
All you need are weather appropriate clothes, comfortable walking shoes, and sunblock! I recommend you bring water during the summer months.
What if there is adverse weather?
If the weather services issue "hazardous warnings", I reserve the right to suggest cancellation. Should you decide to cancel due to poor weather conditions, please call at least two hours before the tour starts.
What if we have to cancel?
Situations do occur, but please allow at least twenty-four hours notice.
